Visitor Services

The downtown core offers everything your heart desires–merchants, grocers, clothing, hardware, auto parts stores, and they all go the extra mile, literally, to bring you the service and products that you will find here.

You will find everyone who has a business here will be happy to give you service and information, and will make you feel right at home.

There are three large hotels, an inn on the waterfront, and several bed and breakfast accommodations. There are also dozens of RV and tenting sites if you are traveling independently.
Our award winning restaurants have wonderful menus - fresh seafood, Greek and Italian fare, Chinese, gourmet and fast take out. The flavours of the seven seas, so to speak.

We have several wonderful gift shops and specialty stores for the souvenirs and special keepsakes you need to take back to loved ones.

Visit our two story log building that houses the story of Port McNeill and those that have come before.

The finished building will have 2,400 sq. ft. on the main floor, and a large conference room on the second story.

The “North Island Heritage Museum” and its historical artifacts from the early days of logging will open your imagination to past.

Outside, a wrap around veranda with outdoor displays and seating will provide plenty of space for leisurely tales about the good old days, when real men created myths equaling those of Paul Bunyan.

Individuals and private donors throughout the region have offered financial assistance in addition to artifacts, photographs, implements and historic memorabilia. These will all become part of the ongoing collection.

The completed project will become a focal point in the region providing a place to gather a tangible record of our history.

The Port McNeill & District Chamber of Commerce can be found on the Harbourfront at 1594 Beach Drive.  Accurate and comprehensive information can be accessed from this beautiful spot by the Marina.
